Condition

Professionally cleaned by a textile conservator using an exceptionally gentle process of careful hand washing through repeated soaking over the course of over week's time. No bleach, starch, or harsh chemicals were used.

This bertha is clean, ready to wear, and is in condition. There are no stains or storage odors.

Provenance

This garment comes from a lifelong collection of historic clothing and textiles, begun in the early 1940s. Carefully preserved for decades, it is now being offered for the first time through The Gilded Griffin.
